Cookbook Cover Redesign
.jpg)
Tola was commissioned to create the illustrations for the 2026 reissue of the cookbook Recipes from the Rum Islands by food writer, cookbook author, TV chef and presenter Shivi Ramoutar.
Originally published in 2015, the 10-year special reissue edition moves away from the original photographic cover. The redesign features fully illustrated artwork throughout, including the book cover and chapter opening pages.
Working to a brief centred on bold expression and vibrancy, Tola developed illustrations defined by bright colour, and playful patterns, to celebrate the fresh Caribbean spirit and flavours within the book.

This project marked Tola’s first commissioned illustration project, expanding her creative work into collaborative design.
